Panasonic Viral

The Movie Sound Event team, headed up by Katja Delago, CEO recently paired up with Bigsky Productions to produce an action packed internet Viral for Panasonic’s new waterproof, dustproof and shockproof camcorder and digital still camera. The Director of photography was Banie Dengg, assisted by Felix Schwarz and the cast consisted of “young gun” windsurfer, Mitchel Waggstaff and SA team mountain biker, Sara Muhl.

This internet viral commercial was shot in the Cape Nature Reserve (Platboom beach) at Cape Point.

THE THOUSAND POUND VIRGIN

EXHIBIT #1

EXHIBIT #1

Do you think this bag should cost a thousand pounds? Because Virgin did.

At around 35GBP per extra kilo, that’s what this extra bag (under 30Kg) cost, and instead of allowing our clients to buy an extra ticket (at half the price), Virgin insisted the fine was paid. Considering that our client is from a reputable newspaper in the UK, and Bigsky uses Virgin for a huge proportion of their clients, this wasn’t a very good public relations move.  British Airways, on the other hand, have an excess baggage limit of 25GBP, for this size bag. We suspect BA will be getting  a lot of new customers, especially from the media and photographers, who don’t exactly travel light.

Perhaps there should be an exception to the rules for certain cases. What about people coming to South Africa to work and not just play!?
