Cape Town was the location for another Bigsky Production. Italian and Milan fashion label Fred Mello shot a great campaign using all local models and a variety of locations in and around Cape Town.

A favourite Bigsky Productions location in Cape Town is the Biggie Best House. This old, rundown Victorian house is a beautiful canvas to work on. The big windows allow for fantastic natural light, and the dilapidated quality of the high ceilings, wallpaper and skirting give a very classic dated feel. Fantastic for catalogue, lingerie or any type of shoot, you can dress the house any way you want, and there is no furniture, so feel free to create.

As kick off gets closer, the whole world is watching South Africa ahead of the 2010 World Cup, and if you plan on producing, photographing or filmimg any part of the football event then Bigsky has front row seats. Bigsky currently services big name football brand PUMA

Burlington Socks (one size fits all) completed their sensational “soon to be released campaign” in Cape Town South Africa. German Agency Leadcom (click here for their website) were the brain-trust behind the concept and creativity. The Agency was represented by Ingolf Jaeger (Account) & Alex Scazny  (Creative). 

 Contra Service Productions (click here for website) took local support from Bigsky Productions, to produce this campaign with a “fun football edge” to it. 

Photographed by Carsten Goerling (click here for web page) on a typically dusty African pitch, the locals who came down to play football found a different type of Team on their field, nonetheless it proved to be good spectator sport and crowds flocked to see the pretty girls from Boss Model Management and Topco Models who featured in the campaign.

STUDIO 26 IN CAPE TOWN - BIGSKY PRODUCTIONS

Studios with natural light are a winner, especially when you consider that Cape Town has some of the cleanest and most interesting natural light in the world, Studio 26 is a great option for clients, who want a studio which they can dress, paint or customise to their design.

Whats great about the studio 26 location is that it is only a 20 min drive from the city centre of Cape Town.

Asos Magazine recently did an editorial photoshoot with Bigsky Productions in Cape Town. Client & Stylist Zeba Lowe and the team came out from London to shoot four beautiful stories. All models were from a spectrum of  Cape Town agencies, namely Zero Models, Outlaws Models, M1 Management, and Boss Models. 

London based Fashion Photographer Paul Farrell from Balcony Jump Agency was behind the camera and did a phenomenal job. The team used a mixed bag of locations; a high-end villa, a vintage car parts & graveyard, an outdoor studio and the beach.

“Find a location that looks like mars.”

This was the brief and Bigsky knew just where to find this location. Situated on the tip of Africa a 2 hour drive from Cape Town is where we shot the award winning National Geographic kids campaign. The Campaign has a distinctly green/environmental edge to it, urging people to look after earth as Mars is not a fun place for kids to life and play.

AWARDS INCLUDE: CANNES LION & LOERIE

The location was vital to the success of the campaign and what was needed was a special mixture of unusal rock and sand formations which give off a Mars like feel. 

It was a difficult campaign to execute as kids, 4×4’s props et al had to transported from Cape Town and the team showed lots of guts and cohesion in making it all happen. Have a look at some of the location images below.

The lastest Bigsky Productions Advertising Campaign was produced for  Client - “Coronation Fund Mangers.”

Award winning Advertising Agency FoxP2 came up with the concept and entrusted Bigsky Productions with Casting, Location Recce-ing, Equipment sourcing, Styling & Props, Crew, Catering, Transport and Post Production Retouching. 

The Photographic shoot and Production were a great success.

Rob Parker was David’s right hand man, Jet Vervest from Amsterdam was the stylist/art director and was integral to the shoots success, as was Monique Tacon on Hair & Make Up. Werner from PondoPictures shot this behind the scenes video. The shoot was a lot of fun as you can see from the video. For best viewing. The location and models were crucial to this shoot’s success and Bigsky drew on their location database and model agency relationships to find David the farm and cast he envisioned.
